How do I get them to talk again?
Posted by By: Dr. Laura Berman on May 31 2018
Dr Berman- I have a 3 year old daughter and she behaves as most toddlers do. She takes a bite of food and then the next piece goes on the floor. My husband thinks it’s funny and I am usually the one that ends up cleaning it up when she is all done. So- recently we took a trip to see my sister who has no children. During feeding time, I went into the shower and left my husband to dinner duty. The baby started throwing food and my husband just left it… and then I’m not sure how it all went down, but my sister apparently told him off because he just left the food there and was waiting for me to get out of the shower. She called him lazy and told him to pick up after his kid. He got up and walked out and she then yelled at me for allowing him to be “complacent” in child rearing. I get where she is coming from, she thinks he doesn’t help at all… But I’m ok with that. How do I get them to talk again. He’s furious that she called him out about it. Amber
