Fear of Missing Out
Posted by By: Dr. Laura Berman on April 16 2019
Dr. Berman, I am 35 and a mother of 2 great kids aged 10 and 12. I had them on the younger side with my college sweetheart. He was only the 3rd guy I dated. I love my family and would do anything for them, but I am so bored with my life. Some of my girlfriends are still single and they tell me how lucky I am to have a great husband and I get that, but then they go to Africa or sky diving or out on great dates and weekends away with new lovers. I never got to do any of that and I feel like I’m missing out. I feel horrible about these thoughts too. It’s like I wake up and hate life but then have to remember that I’m lucky too. What do I do? Is this normal to feel this way? Colleen
