Encouraging A Healthy Lifestyle
Posted by By: Dr. Laura Berman on November 08 2018
Dr. Berman- My wife and I have always been on different pages with our health. We met in college when she never had to worry about weight and then after we had kids, weight began to be a problem. She never gave up that unhealthy lifestyle. We divorced 2 years ago and she has continued to get bigger and bigger. This has affected our children. They too, are getting bigger and bigger. I want them in sports but she doesn’t make them go and they eat what she eats when they are with her. My kids are getting fat and it really is very unhealthy for them. We have joint custody, but I only get them 2 nights a week and one night on the weekend. Those 3 days, they eat right and I have them exercising and playing. The other nights, though, completely negate what I am trying to do for them. I want my kids to flourish and she won’t listen. She says they’re young and don’t need to worry, but I am worried. What do I do? Thomas
