Hi Dr. Berman - 4-5 months ago, a new employee (female; mid-20s) started working in our office department. She seemed pretty nice, but it became quickly apparent that she liked a guy in our office. The 2 of them would spend a good amount of time interacting both through emails and in person. The guy we work with is also mid-20s, but has been at the job for 5 years. I asked her if she was going to ask him out, but she denied anything remotely romantic. However, they were spotted by a coworker of ours leaving together a few weeks ago (in the same car). What they do on their own time is their own business, I know, but my question is how successful are romantic work relationships? For the ones that are successful, what characteristics do they have (or not have) in common? This doesn't affect me other than that their ongoing conversations tend to periodically distract me from my job. I just want to know what I should be aware about as time goes on. Please let me know what you think! Beth
