Child Support...

Dr. Berman- I am 35 years old, never married, no kids. The man I started seeing has never been married but does have 2 daughters that he supports. He is amazing in every way to me and to his girls. Recently, his ex has been on his case that she needs more money for the girls because she sees how he and I spend our time. I am lucky enough to have a small trust and a really great job. I pay for a large majority of the more elaborate things that we do. He has started talking about us moving in together and happened to say “one house, one pot.” This caught me off guard. I don’t mind paying for my share of things or for stuff for him, but I don’t know that if merging our assets is the best play here, especially since his ex wants more money. I am trying to be sensitive, but I don’t want my money going to support her (who only works part-time). Is that terrible of me? Nancy
