Dr. Berman, I am 33 years old and just about to make partner in my firm. This has been a long time coming and I am very excited about it. I have been with my boyfriend for about a year and a half and our friends and family keep asking when we are going to get married and start a family. Here is the thing, we decided that I wasn’t going to get pregnant until I was well established at my firm and that we were comfortable money wise. I have bills that I need to pay off as does he. We thought that the kids will come in about 5 years. I told my Dr. and he said to freeze my eggs, which I am in the process of doing. My friends and family keep telling me that I will be an old mom. I don’t think that will be the case. We are committed to have a family but we want to wait. Is that so wrong? The only thing that I feel is that my friends are all starting to get pregnant, and by the time I do, our kids won’t be able to play or maybe things won’t be relatable. Your thoughts on the whole older mom thing? Tara
